Important Do’s and Dont's
- While traveling, please ensure you carry at least two sets of clothing in your hand luggage, lest your luggage gets misplaced and does not arrive on time.
- Do not carry large amounts of cash. Travelers’ checks are preferable. However, do keep small denominations such as $1, and 25c handy to use in public phones, etc. You can open a bank account once you get here easily.
- To call anyone within the US, you need to only dial the last 10 digits.
- Please carry medicines if you need any, including for cold and fever, etc. This is optional.
- There will be an orientation program by Pragathi, which provides other information post your arrival at Drexel.
- Keep your I-20 and passport with you at all times, since you will need them at the airport to clear immigration.
- Do not carry blankets, since you will get comforters here, which are better suited to the cold weather.
- Do not make any payments to any realtor until you reach the US.
